David Richard Mankin graduated from the University of Florida in 1973
with a bachelor of science, with honors, and received his Juris Doctor
in 1979 from Nova Southeastern University. Mankin joined the Miami
office of Stiles, Taylor & Grace, P.A. in November of 2003. Prior
to joining the firm, he was the assistant general counsel to the Board
of County Commissioners in Broward County, Florida; trial attorney for
Continental Insurance Company; managing attorney for Prudential
Insurance Company; and senior trial attorney for Hartford Insurance
Group. Prior to attending law school, Mankin worked in the
telecommunications field as a radio journalist and news director.
Mankin's legal career now spans 25 years, most of which have been
devoted to representing liability and workers' compensation insurance
carriers and their insureds. His litigation experience includes
workers' compensation, tort/personal injury, construction defect,
insurance coverage, wrongful death and appellate practice. He has
tried an extensive number of cases to verdict or judicial ruling, and
has negotiated and mediated settlement in countless others. Mankin
is a member of the Florida Bar. In 1996, he was awarded a
Certificate of Meritorious Public Service by the Florida Bar for his
participation as chair of Grievance Committee 17H. |
