Susan Steakley-Garcia graduated from the
University of South Florida in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in
Anthropology and Psychology and received a Juris Doctor from Nova
Southeastern University School of Law in 1998. She has been licensed to
practice in the State of Florida since 1998.
Steakley-Garcia joined Stiles, Taylor &
Grace in June of 2001. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an
Assistant Public Defender for the 6th Judicial Circuit and as
an Assistant State Attorney for Monroe County. During her tenure as an
Assistant State Attorney and Assistant Public Defender, she tried
numerous misdemeanor, felony and capital cases. Since leaving the
public sector, she has defended carriers on diverse liability matters
including medical malpractice, PIP and nursing home claims.
Steakley-Garcia
is currently a Managing attorney for Stiles, Taylor & Grace's Miami
office. Her primary area of practice involves representing employers
and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation cases. |
