Mr. Weiss has been active on the Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizens Advisory Committee since 1999, serving as Chairman from 2007-2009. His service also includes the Transportation Impact Fee Ordinance / Livable Communities Task Force, the Pinellas Mobility Initiative Steering Committee, and representing Pinellas County on the West Central Florida Joint Citizens Advisory Committee.

He has also spent five years on the City of St. Petersburg Nuisance Abatement Board, participated in public policy committees through the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Bay Partnership, served on the Board of Directors for the Suncoast Tiger Bay Club, and graduated from both Leadership St. Pete and Leadership Tampa Bay.

Mr. Weiss is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been named to Florida Super Lawyers since 2006 (limited to 5% of the state's lawyers).

Mr. Weiss is admitted to the Florida Bar, United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
