Other memberships include the Florida Lawyers Legal Insurance Corporation (FLLIC), a group responsible for overseeing legal expense insurance. He is currently a member of the Board, after previously serving as the group's president, vice president, secretary, and as a member of the Board of Directors.

Civic and community work includes serving on the Board of Directors for Capital Tiger Bay and the Florida State University College of Law Alumni Association and membership in Gamma Rho International.

Taylor has lectured on legislative matters, workers' compensation and estate planning. He is the author of "Bar Discipline in the Sunshine-How It Can Affect Trial Lawyers and the Legal Profession at Large,", as published in The Florida Bar Journal.
